[Serusers] failure route

I still can not run it.can the primary rewrite be in my if or do I need
2 route[] statements.
if (src_ip== xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx){
t_on_failure("1");
rewritehost("xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx");
};
route[1]{
rewritehost("xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx");
append_branch()
t_relay();
break;
