[Serusers] problem with ser instalation

If you don't have a reverse entry for that IP in DNS, try adding an entry in
your /etc/hosts file.
The PID file does not exist message is SER's somewhat enigmatic and cryptic
way of telling you it didn't start. There's usually an error in
/var/log/messages saying something more useful about WHY it didn't start
(syntax error, problem binding the port, etc, etc).
