[Serusers] Immediately update aliases table

Hi guys. Even when using db_mode=2 for usrloc:
    modparam("usrloc", "db_mode", 2)
there's still some time between adding an alias and the alias being written 
to the aliases table. Is there any way to immediately update the aliases 
table? Are there any reasons to not do this?
