the cat error just tells you that ser didn't start. Find the command in
your ser service script that actually starts ser and start it manually.
You may also add -E -D -D -D -D -D<br>
to get lots of debug info to stderr (or just look in your
/var/log/messages)<br>

I comment or remove the loadmodule line, ser will load again. Is there
anything else I need to add or configure before loading this module? I
