I'm happy to put a candidate fix in, but I won't have time to do any testing of it (and I don't use non DB only mode on any of my systems).<BR>

i don't mind the error message, but if it is that easy to make rls in
non-DB mode to work and not lockup presence/rls server, then it would be
worth doing. otherwise, in my opinion, a warning is justified.
